Shepard and Crow JM pickup covers?

Post by jjb0737 » Mon Sep 18, 2017 2:33 pm

Hi fam,

Any of you had any experience with these 3d printed JM covers? They come in all sorts of colors, which is what I'm interested in.

If anyone has any pics, I'd be grateful to see them.

I don't have any pictures, but they're nice. I've got one of the MM bass pickup covers. One of the guys around here is the dude behind that awesomeness.

Cool. Is the plastic shiny and completely solid or does is have variation in the grain?

The only picture I could find makes the plastic seem pretty grainy:

It's like pretty much everything else I've ever seen that's 3D printed. There are some print marks, but it's not too bad. I know a few people who do 3D printing for costuming and lightly sand stuff to get it smooth. I haven't tried sanding any of the Shepard And Crow stuff yet. It looks pretty good in person though.

There is "white flexible and smooth" and "white flexible and smooth polished" in the drop down menu.

The description of the non-polished one is that it has a slightly grainy texture. That might be the one you're looking at.

I've been eyeing those plates for a while and wondering what cockamamie colour schemes I could concoct.
