Re: Stupidly Large F-Hole
More pics today! This just needs a little hand finishing and it should be ready to send out
Here she is after her final date with the machine. Neck pocket, bridge thimble holes and outline cut.
And after a 1/2" roundover to the front and back (still some minimal transition sanding to do around the neck plate)
^^^ some annoying hairy bits here and there...

^^^ This body is for a solid finish so I didn't go too crazy matching the grain in the join line

Re: Stupidly Large F-Hole
I'm curious what color you all would go for? The original mock-up Dan came up with was silver and black, which is really nice. I also think Burgundy mist would be badass.

Re: Stupidly Large F-Hole
I would go with a silver with slight grey tint OOORRR this Orange Mist from dupicolor. I've wanted to do one in this for a while. Or maybe a classic hot rod Honduras Maroon metallic and throw in some hand pin striping flourishes. As some of you know this is my favorite shape since it was developed several years ago, with or without the big ass F-hole.

Here's a good example of Honduras Maroon GM paint code 948 (PPG paint code 50568).
