Finished thing. Looks different from every angle and in every photo but in the flesh it's an extremely dark turquoise until the light hits it. Very happy with it...

Really, really cool guitar :) German carves are the dog's. What tremolo did you use? JM with a custom plate?

It's just the stock Univox one that came with the guitars - they're great trems when you have the right arm to fit them. I think I prefer them to a Jazzmaster trem.

I tried my hardest to capture it but it's a lot more green and sparkly in real life though in low light it looks black. Really suits the guitar though.

Looks fantastic!

Nice job, I'm a big fan of actually

Inspired my next build!

I'll make a note to experiment with another color that came to mind,

Montego Blue
A somewhat dynamic color
I was told it's because of "gold flakes" in the paint

I have no experience doing this, but I am on the internet, so I will gladly share some of my useless knowledge:

Don't people get that green from LPB by using yellow-tinted Nitro clear coats?
That's how I'd try for it. Primer then your LPB base coats then vintage tint clear then the rest of the clear.

Your finished product looks great!

Looks a lot like Ink Blue as seen on vintage Mosrites. Great color for that guitar.
