for a CS, that tort is an insult.
you should be eligible for a refund imho.
WD>spitfire>vintage, depending on funds.
Nobody exists on purpose.

Here's the sample Gail sent me just on canvas. I asked for a bit more red / dark brown transparent on the final piece.

This is my WD tort.

I finally finish building a guitar, go to play it, and then remember, "oh yeah, that's right. I suck at playing... Why did I build another guitar again?"

Cool! Her name is Gail Knight. You can find her on Facebook under Resin Art Gallery
Some cool stuff she does. I'd love to see how you get on with your idea - keep us posted.

I've not much especially beneficial else to add to the thread, though for reference's sake I have a feeling the "overtextured storm on Jupiter" GFS tort I used for the RJ sig is likely from the same source as the WD stuff.

I doubt that's the same as WD. One I doubt it's celluloid, and two WD is Tort/w/b/w not Tort/W/B. On a side note though, I really like that guitar. Though I'd prefer it with an off white guard of some kind.

I got this stuff to make a pickguard for an archtop. I wanted a very murky, deep red, unlike all the other stuff that tends to be brown & very translucent.

The sheets sold aren't big enough for a Jazzmaster but would work great for a smaller guard. It's Italian made (which totally suits putting it on my Vox) and the seller is out of stock at the moment. I'm sure he'll be getting more again in the not too distant future...

I'll be able to get 3 guards out of it so can be selective about what parts of the swirl are in the guard I use. It'll look very dark once mounted in place, with only a slight suggestion of translucency, just like the originals.

EDIT - Sorry for posting this. I just read the OP's post & it's specifically for a Jazzmaster.

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.
