If they do have 3 positions, they should work. I agree that rotaries would be a bit tight-fitting. Faction Electric makes a diamond plate to fit Mustang switches, incase you were ever inclined to use them! But, yeah, if that's what you've got and they are on-off-on, that shouldn't be an issue at all! Wouldn't happen to have a friend with a meter, would you?

I'll draw something up for you in the next day or two. Today is out as I have to go RIGHT to bed and get up early, for a recruiting thing for the job I'm trying to get (yay!).

Thanks heaps for the tips, Shadow! I didn't know Faction has a diamond plate for mustang switches, I still think it would imply to route the body for bigger clearance so I might stick to the plan exposed.
I do have a friend with a meter so I guess it won't be an issue to double check what I have and eventually buy two toggle counterparts..

No worries about the drawing, I'm not in a hurry so... have some comfy rest and GOOD LUCK with the job!!!

Thanks man!! I'll take all the luck I can get my hands on! Haha.

The schematic won't take all that long, I just want to make sure those switches will work before committing to that, you know? If they're good, then that's perfect. If not, I can draw the schematic up for you the other way. I MAY just make both schematics for the hell of it though. Haha.

Then I'm sure the entire OSG community would be join me at filling your hands with luck!! ;D
I'll try my best to get my friend to come along with the meter to sort things out but I guess it's not big deal to consider a six-pins three way toggle as you suggested as a main option and to go ahead with them, in the end, as long as they are what you indicate in the diagram, I won't have any issue to follow the instructions.
Laters! :)

Awesome posts man! Thanks for doing these!!

Any take on a wiring diagram for 3 humbuckers in a Jaguar and having the rhythm circuit plate custom made to hold 3 2-way switches for coil tapping 3 Humbuckers, and the Lead circuit just being Bridge On/Off, Middle On/Off, and Neck On/Off?

Removed schematic for the pickup tester box. As far as I know, it'll work, but I'm streamlining it a little bit, and will completely rework it very soon.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
I just bought a 1966 Fender Duo-Sonic II. It's not all-original, so I figure that I can mod it.
I have an extra Dimarzio Tone Zone humbucker. I would like to have just this single bridge humbucker, with one volume and one tone, and use the Mustang 3-way switches to control the pickup use. One of the switches could be single coil, series, and parallel. The other I could use for three more options, including a cocked wah, I hope.
Any ideas?

What'd be cool would be to have one switch be coil-splitting (south, both, north) and the other be series-parallel or phase, with cocked wah on the end... The second switch might be tricky, but it's possible. I've been coming up with funky 3-way Mustang slider schematics lately since they can be tricky, but have so much potential with 8 lugs over 6...

Your idea would be rad with a P-Rails pickup.
I look forward to the schematic! Thanks.

Hi all, I wanted to ask kindly for a schematic for a mish mash of a jaguarillo and a mustang with 2 mustang switches for 2 jaguar (j. marr signature) single coils and a five-way-switch for a p-rail (one position for each coil, one in series, one in parallel, one off), one volume and one tone pot. Thanks in advance, and great thread in general, Shadoweclipse13.

Work has actually been busy this week (when I usually design circuits), so I'll tackle it this weekend.

That shouldn't be too bad. Give me a few days to put something together.
