You are welcome! I struggle with this stuff sometimes too, but I also really enjoy doing it. I love a challenge and figuring out weird functionality!

I have them all saved (so if you or anyone else needs one, I can email them to you), but as soon as I find a site that still does hosting, they'll be going back up.

I just realized that I use photo bucket too & everything I've posted is gone as well. :fp:

I'm putting together a jazzmaster & have been looking for something different to do with the wiring.

What are you thinking? I've probably got something you could use, and could email your personal email with a schematic if I do.

I am looking for something that is like a bridge/parallel/neck/series kind of thing using a rotary switch.

That's very doable. Have any preferable on the order of settings in the rotary?

Not really. Whatever makes the most sense lay out wise. This will be my first wiring job so whatever is the most "idiot proof".

I finally got a few minutes to work on this, and then I found this! Haha. I could probably figure out a way to switch the positions if you need it to be a bit different.

Here it is...any assistance would be awesome.

I just want it to operate as a simple 3-way pickup switch (i.e. neck, neck-bridge, bridge).
You'll have to confirm this with a continuity check, but a 4-pole, 3-position rotary, would work quite the same as a 2-pole, 3-position. It just has two extra poles for options. Just the same except, by my drawing, it would also have a pole C and pole D.

If everything works similar to what I've got above, to use it as a 3-way (after checking continuity between the terminals to be sure which outer 3 lugs are connected to which inner pole common lugs!!), you can use any two poles for the two pickup wires, to wire like this:

Took me longer than anticipated to get around to doing this job, but today was the day. Your schematic for the rotary worked, and the switch itself didn't need any grounding wire. It was actually a very simple wiring job - I was probably just spooked by the umber of lugs on the rotary switch!
