Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
[quote="Shadoweclipse13"]For those who know, and those who don't, although I do have a fulltime job, I sometimes help out with wiring schematics. Anyone is always welcome to ask for help with a custom wiring schematic, or just help organizing what they've already got. You guys can post requests here, in your build threads, or PM me anytime. I'm on quite a bit. I realized that I have my schematics I've made for people scattered all over OSG. So, in the interest of helping and organization and whatnot, wherever else I post them, I will post them here as well, so there's a complete collection of them too.
One thing I will say though... I have a couple that I posted around here for questions on my own projects that may or may not work. If the schematic actually working is in question, I won't be posting it here.
I added the link to this page at the bottom of my signature too, so if you are looking for something I've made, or this page, or whatever, it's in my signature at all times

[FULL SCHEMATIC]
My take on the Mustang 5.0 schematic, though it has brought to my attention that there may be a deadspot I didn't know about. Use with caution.
Yay, glad to see the pictures back uploaded- only commenting here so I can more easily find this down the road by looking at my own posts- thanks for re-posting! Ill also be going with imgur for any of my own future posts-

After years of dealing with Photofucket's shit, I REALLY like Imgur so far. If it's easy for you, I also linked a non-clickable hyperlink for this page on the bottom of my signature too. You'll have to highlight it to copy and paste it, but it's there. And I'm always on

Added JM with rhythm circuit that works for both pickups as requested by Mark_laar. Enjoy!

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
To anyone who saw/used the JM with rhythm circuit that I posted yesterday, I just reposted it (forgot the wire on the volume pot from lug 3 to the ground spot on the bottom of the pot). Sorry for the mistake incase anyone downloaded it to use!!

Added the Chromacaster'ed Beast requested by Julius2790. I'm usually a very humble guy, but stuff like this is why you guys come to me. I'm the mad scientist and I LOVE a challenge!

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
I thought you guys would be interested to see this... I took a screenshot of ALL of my schematics I've made to date. I keep most of them in the file I make them. Most are from you guys, but a few are my own projects

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
^ Very cool!
I have two questions, one opinion, one a bit more technical:
I am looking at rewiring my '94 Talman TC530 (three lipstick pickups, one volume, one tone pot), as it has developed issues with the pickup selector and scratchy pots.
Q#1: I found the wiring diagram online, and it has pots marked with 500k linear for volume, 500k log for tone. I was surprised, I thought they would be 250k as in strats. Should I stick with 500s or go down to 250k. I know that 250k will cut some of the high frequencies. The guitar was bright, but not too bright for it to be unpleasant. What are your thoughts?

Q#2: Can I use a 4-lug CTS strat pickup selector instead of the 8-lug Ibanez one? On the the diagram, only four lugs are connected anyway.

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
I can't say on the pot value as that's personal preference. Does it sound like you want to change it?
As far as the switch, you absolutely be able to use a CTS blade-type. 5-way switch?
The other thing you could try it sounds like is some electronics cleaner spray. I bet that might take care of your switch and pots.

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
Thank you Shadow! I think I will stick to the original values of pots. I tried the cleaner, it helps a bit, and than back to popping and crackling after two days. The blade switch appears corroded. Fresh guts will do the trick. I appreciate your help!!!

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
Added schematic for my pickup tester box with all the crazy mods! Also, corrected Pickup Tester (realized that all 3 volume pots were missing the connection between lug 1 and ground to back of pot).

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
I've tried twice now with two diff schematics altering them to what I thought was correct... and failed.
HALP!
Two pickups: HB & SC
Volume control for each.
Straight to output jack.
End of story.
Can't be that hard, can it?

your paranoia must be weapons-grade.
