That Mustang would look cool as hell in sherwood green or possibly aztek gold...

A golden Mustang with b+b would be beyond awesome.

Well, the Mustang is done with the refin. It is crazy green. I think this is one of those guitar projects that only a handful of people will like, but as long as I am one of them it's okay right?
The goal is to get it all wired up, etc. on Saturday, but I guess the decal will take longer.

I won't really know until I get it all strung up, but looks and feel-wise it's nice. Here it is next to my Fender Custom Shop Jaguar neck (if you are ultra-nerdy, you might notice that I have nibs on the binding on the FCS, but I don't think that was what vintage Fenders had? Not sure). The FCS guitar is from 2008, so it's been used a fair amount.MechaBulletBill wrote:Opinion on the allparts necck? Thinking of picking one up for my tele
Here you can see there is an issue with the finish-- but underneath you can also see the radius of a not-so-well sanded fingerboard. I'm fine with it, as it will be under strings and I'm not anticipating taking this to the Concours d'Elegance...

That is the car and color I will have to get to drive to all the gigs I play with this guitar.
...or more likely I can find some vintage Hot Wheel/Matchbox replica for my basement guitar room where this guitar will be 99% of the time.

unless the bridge is being moved, doesnt look like that neck will work to me. looks like full scale next the the jag neck.

I was thinking/wondering the same thing. I was wondering if it was just a camera/perspective thing (the detached neck being slightly closer to the camera...but I don't think it's enough to make that big of a difference in scale). Interesting. I barely trust my own eyes anyway at this point...niksureal wrote:unless the bridge is being moved, doesnt look like that neck will work to me. looks like full scale next the the jag neck.

Just a perspective issue.pscates wrote:I was thinking/wondering the same thing. First, love the color! Looks great! Not to question you but Are you sure the neck is not 25.5? It looks like the but is both further up and the butt is lower down. It doesn't seem like enough distance between the two to force that perspective. Pretty wild if so.Jaguar018 wrote:Just a perspective issue.pscates wrote:I was thinking/wondering the same thing.
