I have had this neat little Squier Tele for a while. It has a Jazzmaster neck and neck pickup...guess they needed to use some parts. So I decided to give it a vintage looking refin and put on a Gotoh Compensated bridge as well as an electrosocket jack.
I don't have a before version of mine..was butterscotch blonde:
I refinished with Old Fashioned Milk Paint brand paints. I got them on Etsy from "Snuggly Monkey" where I got a sampler pack. I ended up using Salem Red on the base coat and then Slate over top. Then I finished with 50/50 Pure Tung Oil and Citrus solvent from The Real Milk Paint Company. I loved that stuff! Not only did it work perfectly for this type of finish, it smells wonderful. For the neck, I didn't feel like doing a total strip and just kind of sanded it down, I put some poly remover on it that didnt really take it all off so i got a good bit of the finish off and just went with it and put a layer of tung oil on to cover spots I totally removed.
Anyway, the part you want to see!

It's weird... They worked on my phone, but on my laptop they don't...HNB wrote:Pics broken?
Also! I love the color! The hints of red in the blue is amazing!

Thanks for sharing! Anyone else putting pics from Google photos with consistent success? I have sharing with everyone on but it seems they don't work sometimes. Maybe I have to stick with crappy Photobucket for forum posts for now.
