Shouldn't be too bad at all. Are you wanting the volumes to work completely indepently (like a Jazz bass) with no 3-way switch, or do you want one of the volumes to work as a master volume?

jazz bass - never thought of checking that one!

yes - two volume controls working independently. for the bastard bullet. running one humbucker, single volume control w/treble bleed added and one jag pickup behind the bridge with it's own independent volume as well.

I like it!

Have any preference for treble bleed type?

No coil-splitting or any other mods?

I use this as a reference for tone (and will add to the main page):

i think i have the 'Duncan" on the bullet. works fine enough for me - i'm not too picky 8)

Hi Shadow, do you mind me asking if you could sort out a coil split wiring for the two humbuckers on a KC Jaguar?
I was thinking about putting back the two 2-way jaguar slide switches and use them as full HB/outer coil split OR going full possibilities with two 3-way mini toggles switches and have Outer coil/Full HB/Inner coil configuration.

I'm attaching the service diagram with the standard Jaguar blank switches pasted on a side in case it makes things easier.

Thanks in advance for your help!! :)

Are you still wanting the rhythm circuit to work for just the neck pickup? Also, do you want BOTH humbuckers to be able to split between full humbucker and their respective outer coils (as opposed to outer on bridge and inner on neck, or some combination thereof)?

Yes: rhythm circuit controls the neck HB only. The stock KC wiring as per diagram attached would be intact, the only mod would be having two more toggle switches in the exagonal plate so that we have 3 extra configuration for each HB being them: outer/full hb/inner coil.

Alternatively, if the above is not possible, I'd like to put back the standard two jaguar slide switches next to the main pickup toggle selector and use them to split the HB from full to outer coil.

I hope it makes sense..

http://guitarelectronics.com/north-coil ... outh-coil/

This is what you need. Just need to make sure that you have a 3-position switch and the middle position is off. The pickups each go here first, and then to their respective positions afterwards (neck pickup to the rhythm switch, bridge pickup to the 3-way toggle).

If you can't find a slider switch like that, you could use these, and with a push-pull pot on the volume and tone pots :)

Neck pickup:

Bridge pickup:

Let me know if you need a hand with the overall drawing!

Thanks again for chiming in so quickly, you're ace! :)

I have two spares switches like these that are the exact same size of the Jaguar's and that probably are ON-OFF-ON and that have six pins in which to wire the circuit
Image

Thing that gets me confused is how to wire the three pins in the switches you've just attached in your reply in the six-pins switches I have.

My goal, if you can help me with drawing a proper schematic, is to get the two extra switches have this options for each single HB:
1) position down: outer coil;
2) middle position: full HB;
3) position up: inner coil.

I'm posting this schematic as well in case you want to use it as a platform for the upgrade..

If you've got a meter, check if the switch is a 2-position or 3-position. If it's 2-position, they won't work for the 3 options that you want, but you could still do outer coil (or inner coil) and full humbucker for each pickup. I've looked up a few different places, and for slider-type switches, I don't see one that's 6 solder lugs that's 3-position. I think your only options for this are the bigger 8-lug Mustang type 3-position slider switches (DP3T, like here: https://www.allparts.com/EP-0261-023-Sw ... _1302.html), or to only have one of the coils as a split.

You could also do the switching as a DP3T switch in a toggle format, those are easy to find. You could also do it with a rotary I think too. There's not much you can't do with a rotary. Haha. If you used the rotary option, the easiest way would be like PRS type of switching:
http://guitarelectronics.com/2-humbucke ... 1-tone-06/

I don't know if it's possible, but I could possibly look into a rotary for the switching options for splitting WITH the usual 3-way pickup selector. That might be possible.

We've definitely got some options here, but with 6-lug slider switches, you won't be able to get everything you want out of it.

I don't have a meter but I can confirm you that the six-pins switches I have are exactly jaguar sized and slide in three positions, so they should act just like normal three-way toggles I suppose... correct me if I'm wrong.
I'd prefer not to use rotary switches due to the fact that they would crowd to much the exagonal plate and mustang's ones are too big to fit inside the cavity, therefore my options drop down to only two:
1) using this six pins three-way slide switches OR either three-way mini DP3T toggles you suggested to achieve the Inner-Full HB-Outer configuration for each humbucker;
2) using two standard jaguar switches and just go for a Full HB-Outer Coil mod in case the first option is not doable.
