Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

Re: new projects
the idea for aged witch hats came from a mid to late 70's jm I saw on here waaay back. it had a black guard with aged white pickups, knobs, and trem knob. can't find a photo of it but the finish had been worn through on the arm contour and it clear coat had been sprayed over. iirc the guy sold it pretty cheap and it ended up being re-listed by some shop for double the price.

Re: new projects
Where can I find these necks? And are they decent quality?finboy wrote:nah they are all earmarked, but considering you can nab b&b necks for $125 now in the ebay section, it's hard to justify NOT having spares.

Re: new projects
they were a special order about a year ago, good quality but you have to add wood if you want to have a proper CBS headstock. i sold my maple one to someone on this board IIRC, no point in having 2 guitars with the same neck.

Re: new projects
update bump, i might have to start paying paul rent for all of the projects i keep flooding him with, lol.
couldn't pass up the chance at a starblaster for a decent price, up in the air as to whether i should go with novak regular hb sized wide rangers or these...
i have a d&b neck for it, likely colour of choice would be charcoal frost metallic.
next...
paul is also working on this for me...
B&B neck which will get a black headstock (truss rod adjuster at the neck, have to hide that), custom gold guard by ben is on the next round that he does (mustang switches instead of rhythm circuit), and tv jones t-armond pickups in JM covers
also getting it back routed to have an additional tone and volume that will be in parallel to the ones on the guard (shifting them down to the input jack and tone hole)
fun times, i also have to get paul to re-work a the maple b&b neck because 2 different luthiers in town couldn't do what i wanted with it.

Re: new projects
God that thing is wonderful. What made you go with a JM pickup in the neck instead of a widerange?

Re: new projects
clips could be difficult, i need to get an interface for my computer but funds are tight as i have been out of work for 7 months, it is on the top of my list for things to get.
it sounds great, I'm glad it is finally in playable shape and i can't wait to see how the starblaster and jazzmaster with dynasonics turn out.
