putting together some scraps for the jazzcaster, so please ignore the shitty drilling, it will likely get redone on the other side so things line up properly...

Looks like a good idea, something I've been wanting to try on an offset. I've already done it with compensated brass saddles on a Strat bridge, works well.(Height adjuster screws have since been shortened)

Are they compensated at all? I always wondered what people felt was the advantage of the barrel style bridges with 2 strings on post. I freak out at the lack of intonation adjustment.

I think that the two strings per saddle bridges sound better on teles at least. My explanation to myself is that two strings will exert greater pressure on the saddle making for a better transfer of sound. Larger mass per saddle may contribute to changing the sound(??? ) There are also less grub screws to work loose and cause rattles. I've never had too much of a prob with intonation if I use the saddles that are offset or Just bend the screw a little (yeh, I know). I'm really liking the idea of this for a JM bridge.
So where does it Turt?

Duhh

Lack of intonation = TONEZ :fp:

Yeah i can't justify my love for a sexy three barrel bridge either. I just love 'em :)

Sweet bridge, although you do know that three brass barrels will sound better

Humans eh? I guess we are just creatures of habit.

That's a great idea. Would that be (to some extent) the poor man's Mastery?

Maybe it should be called the Bachelory. Then when the final end-all-problems model comes out, it could be the Doctory.
