Was wondering if it's possible to have a jazzmaster that has the rhythm and lead controls like in the picture below but without the standard pickups and instead dual humbuckers like a player jazzmaster. The only problem I have with the player jazzmaster is the fact that there is only the pickup selector switch, the treble & volume knobs and that's it.
If it is possible, are there any examples? Or how do you even wire it? Just like if the standard pickups were in there?

Re: Jazzmaster controls with 2 humbuckers?
A quick search suggests that the Player Jazzmaster HH bodies don't have the route. So you'd need to route the body to make space for the switches / pots, get the new pickguard and parts... and wire it up. It's entirely doable.

Yes - It works fine. I have a Jazzmaster with dual WRHB and its fine. for a retorfit - Assuming that the route is there it wont be an issue.
Using humbuckers may change the value of the pots/caps though
