you could make it like elvis costello's triple pickup jaguar.

i like to think hnb is a guitar building robot powered by evangelion quotes and nirvana riffs.

like he's in a charging station in the corner of the room like a roomba and every morning at 8am he activates and just starts building guitars.

honestly. i feel bad enough when i take on 2-3 projects in one month but you just take it to a whole new level.

I have seen him in person. Very lifelike, totally convincing.

A Costello Jag with the color scheme of your Jankmaster would be friggin' amazing.

Two weeks is fair if I don't have to wait on paint drying and such. Shielding usually takes three days because the paint needs a day to dry per coat. :)

Finished the clear and got to work installing the tremolo, strap buttons, and doing the wiring.

Thanks! I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I have adopted the progress over perfection motto and try to improve each time. This finish is pretty good. You can still see wood grain a little, but it is super smooth feeling. It is also more brown than the picture makes it look. I think the red tort is throwing off the color balance. :)

Thanks! Plastic came in. I also put a white paper to get a more accurate color pic. ;)

At the risk of sounding like a motivational speaker, a while ago, I heard the Regina Spektor lyric, "good is better than perfect." As a perfectionist, it really hit me hard.

You did a good job, learned something in the process, and the guitar looks great. Good is better than perfect, because you'll enjoy the build a lot more (and get to the next one, if that's what you want) instead of chasing perfection.

I have never been able to get perfect and the closer I got, the less I wanted to touch it. (Didn't want to risk scratching it or getting finger prints on it or other dumb stuff.) While my stuff isn't factory perfect finish wise, they play well and have often better wiring work now than what I have seen opening up "professional" builds. :D
