Hey all,
I recently procured a Jaguar 'partscaster' on the cheap.
Its not here yet, but heres obligatory pix:
I was planning to eventually get myself a tort guard for this. At the moment the body is a Squier VM JG, and it has been refitted with an Allparts guard. These don't line up, so the original screw holes were filled in and new ones cut. Also, as you can see, the guard has a slight gap before the volume and tone plate. Also, I feel it should come out further behind the bridge?
Anyways, I was thinking the best course of action would probably be to get a custom tort guard made that fits right and lines up with the currently drilled holes. I love the Spitfire stuff, but it's pretty darn expensive.
Has anyone got any recommendations for custom pickguard makers who could help me out on this??
Many thanks!

All parts guards are Japanese-spec. The VMJM body is USA-spec. If you get yourself an AVRI/USA spec guard, it should fit just fine. You'll just end up putting the screw holes back where they were in the first place.

Thanks mate,
Sorry just one more dumb question, something I forgot to mention earlier:
Apparently the switch plates are all from All Parts. Are these the same as the VM and will fit with a USA guard?
Sorry, I am a bit of a troglodyte with all this, haha.

The guy I bought it off said it was customer made by a luthier in Brisbane, Australia.
Sorry, I don't have any more information that that!
