Staytrem bass vi bridge problem
I upgraded my squier bass vi bridge to a staytrem bass vi bridge. I loved it at first. But... The plastic bushing on the low E saddle came loose, and it trying to fix it, I managed to strip the Allen key intonation adjustment. Is there any way to fix this, or am I going to have to just eat another $130 for a replacement?

I would email John at Staytrem about it first and explain the situation. Staytrem's customer service generally seems pretty great so he might be able to help you out with a cheaper option.

what plastic bushing are you talking about? the optional one on the posts to prevent rocking? I've never heard of on the saddles of a staytrem before. I'm curious about this since I'm buying a staytrem for my VI once the site is back up.

Cross, did you talk to John at Staytrem yet? I would second crankheart's assessment of their customer service. I have found them to be great. They may just be able to send you a replacement screw.
For future ref, they have some advice on these sorts of adjustments on their site, too, but not sure if it would have addressed your original prob or not:

P.S. bricksnbeatles, the pics at that link show clearly what the part in question looks like.
