Dimarzio wiring help!

I'm currently trying to get together a Jaguar with an old Dual Sound in the bridge position, and i read that it would read about 14k, but i only get about 8k on my multimeter, I reckon that im only measuring one bobbin so how do I read it correctly?

Look for a diagram, but if I can remember correctly, I think you connect the black and white together [unless you want to coil tap] and then the Red is positive and the other is ground.

If you were up for it, a coil tap could be pretty amazing...
