Bridge screws on the Squier Vista Musicmaster Bass?

Post by inthered » Sat Oct 18, 2014 9:18 am

I just acquired a heavily abused Musicmaster bass (my daughter pulled it out of a garbage can for me!). Cracked neck and separated fretboard, lengthwise crack in the body, Body repainted flat candy apple red (over surf green). And so on. Yet, most of the mechanicals are OK, and I'm gluing up the breaks in the wood now and it's all looking pretty good.

And then there's the bridge.

The saddles are OK, including their respective height adjustment screws. Somehow, all of the intonating screws (ie the long ones securing the saddles) are severely bent.

I'm searching for matching screws. Nothing in my parts box fits, and hardware stores in my area don't have anything so skinny or with that many threads per inch.

Suggestions? I could of course spring for another bridge, but I'd like to minimize the amount of new/shiny stuff that ends up on it.

Cheers!
