Pickup question for CIJ

A few years ago I decked out my CIJ jazzy with Novaks and a mastery bridge. The pickups were originally taped to the pickup covers with two sided tape. I reused it and it seems fine. I want to go through the guitar and make sure it is good to go for gigging--how do you get around the tape? Are there new covers you can use?
