Thanks for posting this. I'd seen it, back when you first posted - and (fortunately) it stuck with me.
Been living with it for a few weeks now, and it works like a charm.
:)

I didn't bother with the hose part though...
Just the clamp

Watched Nels Cline the other day mentioning this fix. Pro's have it checked from time to time.

^this^ Technically you shouldn't even have to do this...just tightening the "collet nut" should create enough friction on the arm. If not, just slightly bending in the "tangs" of the collet will get it working properly.

Ooops... I clearly know not of what I speak :wtf: There is no "collet nut" (mine works fine so I haven't messed with it)...I wonder why? It would make sense no? Whatever just squish those tangs in a little...or do the hose clamp trick...or...

Bump to the thread that first brought me to OSG. I bought the stuff for the clamp/host fix, but when I inspected the trem it turned out that the collet was too *tight* and the arm wasn't inserting all the way. Slightly loosed the collet and now the arm fits perfectly!

I'm bumping this because I've been having issues with trem arms falling out. The original post had three pictures posted about how to set this up, but the pictures are not showing up anymore. Can the OP or anyone else repost these pictures? Thanks.

Doesn't the old zip-tie 'fix' work just as well, with far less faff?

Maybe, but I have been doing this mod (fuel line and hose clamp) for many years and it works 100% perfect and is literally pennies in cost. Hard to take issue with that!

If anyone who has done this mod with success can post a picture, that would be great.
