Jag switches .. Switchcraft & CIJ interchangable?

Post by Laika » Sat Apr 21, 2007 11:00 pm

I'm rewiring my Jag and am wondering if I can replace the CIJ Jag switches with Switchcraft switches? I have read the CIJ & AVRI control plates are different but I'm hoping  it's just the shape of the plate and that the switches are a standard size? I need a couple of slide switches for another project so upgrading my jag will kill two birds with one stone  :)

To be honest, them cij switches are far better than switchcraft!
I had cij ones, swapped them for switchcraft and also made touching the switches slightly microphonic, the cijs are virtually silent.

Nowdays when i buy switchcraft its because its all i can usually get!

Oh,but if you still want them, yes they fit perfectly.

Interesting.. Maybe I'll just get a couple of switches for my project and leave my Jag with what its got .. If it aint broken dont fix it and all that.

Good to know they fit the same.
