I played an Ultra Strat and was not kind to the trem. It held and glided the strings just fine; stayed in turn perfectly, as well. I guess I can give them a vote of confidence.

Any particular reason you’re goin’ after these ones? They do look cool after all.

I put them on my home-built JM because Iike the look of them. They perform as they should.

I put them on my Enterprise Jazzmaster at least partially because they look futuristic. I believe they are supposed be a functional improvement, however, due to the smoother bottom surface not giving the string anything to catch on. I've been happy with them.

Hmmm, well I just came back from Geetar Center. I had to get some strings so I played a ton of new Fender strats. On one guitar (a Pro II) the B & E strings kept pinging behind the nut and it wasn't the nut's fault. Other guitars were fine. I guess they don't really work any better than the vintage style guides.

I wanted to try something new but I think i'll stick with these cuz they just always work for me.

How do you know the pinging did not come from the nut slots?

the slots were kind of wide so the strings didn't get hung up on them. it's possible that the guides weren't polished enough underneath or one side had a bur. Who knows. I might still get some, they're cheap.

Never used it but I like how it keeps the originals silhouette while seeming more functional.
Never had tuning problems with it but I disliked how cheap the bent metal "butterfly" looked on my JM so I went for a dynaguide.
It functions really well and the whole rocking motion following the strings fits thematically with the original idea of the Jazzmaster bridge.

I had a nut where the G string slot was SUPER wide, but not flat on the bottom, so even mild vibrato would cause pinging as it went over a ridge in the middle of the slot. I tried cleaning up the bottom but could never get it right without going too low and it wasn't a bone nut or anything so I just put a TusQ nut on there, massaged the slots to the right heights, and called it a day.

I put these on my CV and 60's Classic Jazzmasters and they're good! They look nice, no tuning problems using the tremolo, and seem to be the right height off the headstock. Well worth the 10 bucks or so I got them for.

I like the look of these and if I was changing one on a cheapish guitar I'd probably try one. I have Mastery trees on my 2 main guitars and they're predictably amazing but a bit weird looking
