AV65 Jag: bridge pickup upside down?
Finally got to the AV65 I bought a few months ago. I never noticed this before, but the bridge pickup seems to be flipped upside down: the two shorter claws are on the B & E strings side. I know some players prefer to install the pickups this way, but the weird thing is, the neck pickup has the short claws on the low E & A side. Did someone intentionally flip only the bridge pickup? Why? Could the guitar have left the factory this way? Is this typical for AV65s? Thanks in advance to everyone who’s able to pitch in.

If you look at Jags from their debut on... does anybody actually know which way is correct? I only assume the B&E strings having the short claws is correct due to it matching wound vs plain strings, but not sure!

Sure, I’m aware that this is debatable. And so is the question, does it make any noticeable difference one way vs the other? But two pickups facing different ways, why? Is it a factory fluke or a secret hack for unleashing the wild tonez?

I'd be interested in a blind A/B test. Suspect no actual difference would be heard.

i never noticed the difference. I messed around with this years ago and decided it doesn't matter.
