I don't really mind all the marketing bullshit and vague measurements because it doesn't matter much to me anymore. What sounds 'good' to me is entirely subjective. My gear sounds different by the day. You have to fork over $200-300+ dollars and then hope for the best. The pickup makers have you over a barrel. If you don't like your new pickups then you try some other type. I'm not sure how much it would help me to chase down my ideal frequency measurements.

It would be nice to invite some pro pickup installer crew over to my house for a week to install numerous pickup sets so I could hear it all through my gear. I'd also like to hear the pickup during band practice to see how it sounds in a 'live' setting.

I don't think anyone, not even the most naïve boomer strawman, really takes much of that marketing stuff seriously.

"I'm Jason fucking Lollar. I make a bunch of fucking pickups and they all sound pretty good. Just buy some you fuck."

There's a good demo of these pickups available now. It helped me make up my mind and order a set. I hated the official Lollar's demo video.

Lollar makes fine, fine pickups. Would not hesitate to try this set.

Their YT vids however... are so very dorky. They need another format and presenter, preferably one with a personality.

When I want to know what a new pickup sounds like I go to a psychic... more reliable info than from a pickup winder.
