Staytrem website down

Post by Mondaysoutar » Thu Jun 04, 2020 3:36 pm

Went to go on to Staytrem websites FAQ page and it’s closed till June 15th it says!

Wonder if anyone could help me out in the meantime,

Getting some rattle from my bridge and/or trem, noticed that one of the wee nylon washers in the bridge is sitting flush against the back of the bridge. I seem to remember reading on the Staytrem website that you shouldn’t set it so far back as it can cause something to come loose? Anyone recall reading something like that, or am I making it up haha.

AFAIK the nylon intonation screw washers should be at the back wall .. adjusted back like this if necessary ....

I just got a brand new staytrem bridge within the week and it came with all the nylon washers flush against the back of the wall. I think they all are supposed to be flush with the back.

Ah thanks! Had a look and all my washers are against the back wall of the bridge too.

Was it that the saddle barrels shouldn’t be sitting against the nylon washers? To intonate my G string, the saddle is sat far back against the nylon washer. Haha, wish I could see this Staytrem FAQ page.

I wish the G String had more travel. Mine is also all the way back. I guess I could order a custom made tray a few millimetres wider, but this shouldn’t be necessary.
