AO thimbles

Post by northernlights » Tue Jan 01, 2019 6:36 pm

According to mastery website, av 62 and 65 bridge thimbles are differenf from American Original. Has anyone noticed any difference? So i guess we need to change the thimbles to use mastery bridge.

That sounds weird. American Vintage 62 and 65 have the 0054460000 bridge assembly ..

And the American Original also has 0054460000 ...

And the thimbles are p/n 0054447049 for the 0054460000.

I’m going to be perfectly honest. I have a mastery on my AO, the thimbles fit just fine. But I am not happy with the mastery at all. I’m switching back to the original bridge because tuning stability was better and this damn mastery buzzes on certain notes when using the tremolo. I had zero issues with the original setup.
