Strat Covers on Jaguar Pickups
This is apparently possible based on anecdotal feedback I've seen here & elsewhere- but every Strat cover I've tried on my (Seymour Duncan) Jaguar pickups has not fit, due the the pickup bobbin being too wide. I've tried three separate sets of pickups and multiple covers. Anyone fit the covers with success? Any particular brand of cover you used if so?

Re: Strat Covers on Jaguar Pickups
I have a Strat cover on an original early '70s Fender Jag pup and it fits easily between the bobbin and the claw, several different Strat covers fit it fine.
I'd guess that maybe Duncan makes their bobbin different?
Seems odd as I can't think of a reason they would do that.
All my covers are from the parts bin, so not sure who made them but I have lots of different examples

Jaguar pickup covers are the most beautiful thing on the planet.

Hah. They're not going in a Jaguar, I've been using them in a Strat (without covers.) Don't like having the exposed coil, so hoping there's an option available.

Oh. Well, that’s okay then. I take it all back.
Did you take off the claws and Strat covers still don’t fit?

Yep. So I just measured the bobbin on the Duncans (three sets made across a decade - four 'Vintage' and two 'Hots.') They measure 16mm across the bobbin; the stock MIJ bobbin is 1mm smaller, and fits the Strat covers (the internal measurement of the cover is exactly 16mm- or just enough under that the Jaguar pickups won't squeeze in.)
