JagStang Wiring

Post by LoveBoatCaptain » Fri Nov 09, 2018 5:33 am

Hello All!

I was wondering if anybody would be able to help me out....

I'm starting to re-wire my JagStang but I've never tried anything like this before (or really understand electronics tbh) but I'm looking forward to giving it a go. I have the two diagrams below and am looking to do something that combines them both.

I have a Seymour Duncan JB and a run of the mill single coil which I'll upgrade if this all works.

I have some questions which are;

Are the grd output and hot output from the single coil in the switch diagram the wires that go to the tone/volume etc? So nothing from the humbucker switch would need to be connected to the volume/tone etc...?

Would these wires go to the same connections on the tone/volume as shown in the main diagram and would everything in that part of the guitar be wired as in the main diagram?

I have on/off/on switches is that correct?

My Jagstang has two grounding wires - one to the bridge and one to the body under the scratch plate; should I ignore the second one now as it's not shown in either diagram?

What should I do with the bare ground wires from my humbucker?

Will this actually work...?

I'd really appreciate any help any one can give me at this stage. Sorry if it's not too clear what I'm asking or if I'm asking a lot.

Thanks a lot,
Chris
