Height adjustable Mustang style or Bass VI saddles.

Been looking for either Bass VI or Mustang saddles which are height adjustable for my BassVI converted JazzMaster, or anything that would do the job really. Just needs to have height adjustment on the saddles and either be slotted for bass strings or something that can be filed to suit. The standard saddles are a tad to small in diameter for my tastes to file the slot of that thick low string. Anyone have any suggestions? Would consider a full bridge, but I would rather save the cash if possible, it just manages to intonate on the stock bridge, so saddles will do me.

Similar to the Warmoth ...Fender 0081239001 as used on new Player series and several previous models.

Copy (or possible identical) available on ebay for less than $10. You could just buy one of those just for the saddles.

But as with the Warmoth bridge and standard bridge, I'm not sure how it will go with significantly deeper slots ... before you impinge on the intonation screw hole.

You might be better off with the greater diameter of Mustang saddles and file the slots or underside to get the radius you want.

I am thinking making saddles may be the way to go, but that $22 Fender bridge is tempting. I should only have to widen the slots to the proper gauges, depth should be fine already. The saddles look to be either 1/4" or 7mm, which gives plenty of room, only need to go about 0.04" deep for the low E after all, could get by with 0.03" likely.

Yes about that ... 6.5mm diameter on the one I have. A fraction over 1/4".

0081239001 is an import bridge so it's metric. It has all M3 (3mm) screws (intonation, saddle height, bridge height) / 1.5mm hex key. The 18mm intonation screws are often worth shortening / swapping to 16mm for string clearance.
