Bigsby B7 on a Starcaster?

Post by JPCordingley » Mon Apr 23, 2018 11:55 am

I’ve seen examples of a B5 + Vibramate on a Starcaster and it looks good. Has anyone tried a B7? Is it feasible given the offset shape of the heel of this guitar? Would some kind of rubber shim work?

I think there is a thread about it on here but IIRC - the B7 will not work because of the angle on the back of the starcaster.

Thanks. I figured the angle would be an obstacle. Just wondered if anyone had found a way to overcome it. I suppose I’ll go for the B5 then.

You could make a shim to keep the trem mounting 'straight' if you have the tools for it.. Should be a fairly small filler. Using something like black corian would make it neigh invisible too.
