Jaguar tremolo plate is slightly angled?

Post by seancomm » Wed Apr 11, 2018 2:25 pm

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is normal but my Jaguar tremolo plate sits at a slight angle. The right side (by the high E) is slightly lower than the left. It is very subtle, but I'm wondering if this is normal. If not does it cause problems with buzzing or intonation? Thanks!

It shouldn't cause buzzing or intonation issues, it might cause the strings to be more likely to pop out of their bridge saddles. The bridge to nut is where intonation happens, so what is past that shouldn't effect it intonating. It might make the tremolo movement off because the edge could rub. All in all it could just be a visual thing. :)

Cool, thanks! That's the answer I was hoping for haha, I don't want to have to fill and re-drill the holes.
