So I'm hoping someone can tell me the most likely-to-work or easiest solution.
Jag sounds fine with headphones or through a clean amp. Put some distortion on it and the neck pup is still fine but on the bridge pup I'm getting like a high pitched ringing/feedback/squeel
From searching on here either the claw is vibrating or the pup needs wax potting. Is there an easy way to check which? What's the quickest solution?
Thank you very much in advance to anyone who helps!

Pot that mof'k.
Usually, it's the claw vibrating separately from the pickup itself. Potting will dampen the ringing in both, but you have to do it with the claw on. I did mine super easily by melting a bit of wax onto the bottom of the pickup, and then using a hair dryer to melt it into it/between the claw and the pickup.

Thanks very much clip man! My money is on a vibrating claw too because I had to desolder it from the Base plate recently because it was on the pick up the wrong way round.
So I do remove the plastic cover before potting it? Or can I dip it with the cover still on? Never done anything like this before and I don't want to end up going backwards!
Thanks again to anyone who suggests an answer.
