I'm just wondering who is making good tuners these days? My old favorites, the stienberger gearless, are no longer available and look pretty wierd on F style guitars.
The two that have caught my eye recently are the graphtech ratio and the Hipshot locking tuners.

Re: Favorite aftermarket tuners
Everything from Hipshot is real solid. They're the only tuners I use. I upgraded my Warmoth Tele Custom to Hipshots from Gotoh SG38's, and it was a noticeable improvement.

Hipshot tuners are great, what's even better though are the Kluson Revolution.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

What makes you prefer the Kluson?

Re: Favorite aftermarket tuners
Well, they work well, but not really better than the Hipshots or really any other modern, upscale aftermarket tuner. We are living in an golden era for that stuff.
But the Klusons are beautiful to behold, they feel very heavy and solid in the hand, they look the part better and are seemingly made with better metal or the process is better. The Klusons are buffed to a mirror shine and the Hipshots less so. Not really a big deal, but I just find the Klusons to be super inspirational.
