String gauge !?

I would like to have an advise for the choice of new strings, i want to use my guitar in C or D tuning....oh, it's a BTJM

I have 12s on a Jazzmaster tuned to D - works well
I use D'Addario ELX145 (red logo)

My Gibson SG is tuned to B and I have 13s on that - works also quite well - it's a 24 3/4" though
And on my LesPaulJr which is also tuned to B the 13's are a bit loose but it's a 24" scale I think

Sooo 12s for D on a Jazzmaster should be ok - 13s for C maybe

If you're tuning to C or B, try getting a 7 string set with the same top E gauge as your preferred sets for standard tuning, ditch that top string and just use the bottom 6.
