I asked this in the Mascis Mods thread but didn't really get a response.
Will the pickup mounting hardware (screws, pickup covers, foam) on the SQJMJM work for USA spec pickups? I know they're not really built like a regular JM pickup so the concern is that stuff like the polepieces won't fit.
I know Duncans for one don't come with covers, so it would be nice to know if I can use the existing ones or if I'll have to order those, too.

Re: JMJM pickup swap
They should fit just fine.
Fit issues with pickup covers seem to be limited to:
- some of the Fender Japan Jazzmaster covers having slightly narrower polepiece spacing than Fender USA/Seymour Duncan.
- Seymour Duncan 'Quarter Pounder' varieties with the oversized (larger diameter) polepieces.
