Hey all,
So I installed mastery posts on my JM. However, I forgot to solder the wire for the ground. The posts aren't coming out, save from a nuclear blast. Any suggestions on how I could ground the bridge? Also, do I need to shield the cavity and/or the pickguard? I'm installing wide range humbuckers. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.

Unless it's already prepared (is that what the blue is around the holes?), with a new gold guard you'll need to grind the anodizing off where all the metal parts connect, to make sure there's electrical connectivity:
Something like this vintage Fender one:
How I used to do mine:
No need for shielding on the guard that way, but you should double-check everything with a multimeter for connectivity.
And yes, you'll need to shield the cavities and ground them to the guard/jack sleeve.
For the thimbles - you should be able to wrap a thin wire around one and trap it under a bare patch on the underside of the guard - you can see this patch prepared on the one I was doing above.

I can't see the first link.
What kind of JM is it? Is there a ground to the vibrato plate? If so, no need to ground the bridge separately.

Re: Jazzmaster grounding
I encountered a similar issue with a CPJM a client installed a Mastery bridge into himself. For whatever reason the grounding continuity from the Mastery bridge thimbles was intermittent and did not conduct throughout the entirety of the thimble, producing a crackling noise. Especially when the trem was used.
My fix was drilling a hole with a long necked bit from the trem cavity into the control cavity and grounding the strings from there. Fixed the issue and left no visible trace.
