J Mascis pickups without covers
Is there an easy way of installing them without using the pickup covers?

Do you mean the stock pickups in the Squier JMJM?Trout wrote:Is there an easy way of installing them without using the pickup covers?
The short answer is that there's no way to attach stock JM pickups without covers - unless you modify the pickups themselves.
What are you hoping to do by remove the covers? You can get black covers, or even clear ones via Shapeways (3D-printed) if you're aiming for another look.
The artist formerly known as mbene085.

Jazzmaster pickups are also pretty fragile without the covers.
King Buzzo: I love when people come up to me and say “Your guitar sound was better on Stoner Witch, when you used a Les Paul. “...I used a Fender Mustang reissue on that, dumbass!
