Why not take a screw out, go to your local hardware store and find a flat head machine screw replacement?
I was think about looking at flat heads - but wouldn't that require countersink on the plate? I know just enough about hardware to be dangerous.
FMIC assets diagram - SCREW M 8-32 X 1/4
so a flat head machine screw 8-32 1/4?
So, sorry to bump an oldie, but this is also a goldie!
So, the AVRI trem is the 8-32 x 1/4", correct?
Does anybody know the size for the import trem equivalent?

I go a different route, I add little pieces of shrink tubing over the wrapped ends of the strings to dampen any vibrations:

Cool, thanks!
I imagine they're the same on, say, a Classic Vibe trem or the AllParts trem with a lock?
