I would think that you should be able to find one that is precut for cheaper. If you've never done it before, I wouldn't recommend learning on an expensive piece.
Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

the shipping is only $5.95 unless it´s something big, like a neck or a body.

I'm new to the forum but thought I would share my POV on TOMs. I love them.
My stock bridges would never stay set up and parts screws would always fall out (one fell out in soundcheck and had to do the gig with the high e saddle held in with a safety pin  :'() due to my style of playing (fast and hard downstrokes). I nail polished them and still some screws would move or rattle which meant that the intonation and action would be different by the end of the song. Graphtecs were good but all in all I think the bridge design is pretty bad.
One fine day I decided to throw in the old tom off my maton (it was stamped Jin - Ah). Fit perfectly, action was just where I liked it and the intonation was good. Even though it doesn't match the neck radius I kinda like the feel of it. I do like to use the whammy, and it did work with the regular tom but I decided to change to more delicate flatwounds and thought it might be a good time to try out a TOM roller bridge. I got one off ebay, I think it was one of these http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Guitar-Parts-Tun ... dZViewItem and it has been great.
I say go for a tune o matic, don't waste time, effort and money trying to save a jazzmaster bridge.
