Well it seems impossible to search for Bass VI strings without the search function telling you those words are too common... anyway.
What are folks using for proper Bass VI strings these days? 25-95.
I haven’t owned one in ages.
I’m going to setup a somewhat recent CAR Japanese VI for Adam of Chromatics.
Should I get the La bella Nickel rounds or the GHS customs? I’ve always assumed the discontinued Fender ones were made by GHS and stopped when Daddario took over the Fender string label. I love Daddario but their VI strings are just plain wrong.

Hi,
I'm in the process of putting together a VI replica, and have gone with La Bella 26-95 nickel plated round wound. I found this article useful in its discussion about strings:

Cheers!
