I'm thinking of trying another guild. It kind of blows my mind that american made semi hollow/hollow guitars of a very high quality can be had for around $1200. Big fucking jazz guitars (Which I adore) that would cost 3k plus if you bought a gibson are in the low 1k range. From what I've played, the only reason I can think of is brand recognition because besides the bridge, this guitar was of incredibly high quality.

IIRC there was a lengthy (and GAS inducing) Guild thread in the 'Non-offset' section a little while ago.

EDIT: I see you've started another recently. I must've been thinking about this one.

I think the consensus (a rare find on OSG) would be: GO FOR IT :D
