I love Corgan, I really, really do. But I don't love this... and it pains me.

He's absolutely right about lack of innovation or new guitars though. Us guitarists are such a conservative bunch; we all want that vintage fender rather than some radically new style which is kind of ironic seeing as that was exactly what the Jazzmaster was when it was released.

I wish that the headstock was the style/look of the set neck models - but retain the maple board. Essentially, stick with a bolt on neck but use the set neck style headstock. I'm just not a fan of fender-ish headstocks (and kind of surprised that they went with the fender-ish headstock because of the past history with Billy). I guess it just made sense to go with the headstock that is used on all their bolt on necks. I think a dark headstock would look awesome for the black and purple color-ways. I'm debating buying one - don't think I could paint the headstock black without losing the serial number/signature...

Siamese Dream is a god-like album, and Mellon Collie gets huge points for its ambition. But Corgan just makes it so hard to ever care. So much talent for such a whiney, perennially aggrieved guy. And when I see him going on about social justice warriors with Alex "Sandy Hook Was A Hoax" Jones, I'm just done. He had a better run than just about anyone out there, but it's pretty much over for that dude.
