Re: Pick your one guitar, one pedal and one amp...
Can't do it with the pedals and guitars i currently own... Mostly cos i don't usually play "FAVORITES", and i can't make up my mind the rest of the time.
My old Jazzmaster has been used for everything and sounds pretty good overall generally, but there are some specific tones it just can't quite get.
And the sole amp I currently have might get traded out later down the track.
Guitars; Either a Travis Bean 500 w/p-90s. Or a Black Les Paul Custom. Or maybe a Ricky 360 or a Firebird? Big or small body Gretsch??
And at least one 12 string. Maybe electric AND acoustic 12s?
Pedals; Either a tube pre-amp or a Univibe RI. I think ? Plus a couple more I need to buy back again.
Amps; Stereo vibrato Magnatone RI or either an AC15 or small JCM 800 Combo/ head.
or , possibly the 74 JMP head I sold to my Friend.
O, and a white tolex pre-65 Bassman head,w/Presence. Gaaahhh...
And a lot of different speaker combos to suit those amps.

Jazzblaster - good WRHBs (I have experience with vintage and Lollar Regals but I'd guess any of the other big ones would be fine) hit all the marks for me.
Science Mother (Hiwatt-based with a FAC like Orange/Matamp); if an attenuator isn't cheating I want my Power Station, the Mother is obscenely loud, uncomfortable to practice with if the master is over ~2.5
Pedal - I guess one of the fancy pants reverb pedals with lots of options since the Mother doesn't have reverb.

Swap that Tele Custom for an AV64 and that’s my setup the vast majority of the time. The DMM lives permanently atop the Reverberocket.

Guitar: My Yamaha Cv820Wb
Amp: Diezel D Moll
Pedal: Either a looper or a delay pedal (DD3/Arp 87)
Im just such a sucker for delay/ambient stuff
Diezel has a nice Clean and Hi Gain channel
And with the guitar the rest.Offset, Hollowbody, Big corpus, locking floyd style tremolo and nice pickups for both worlds..it's all I need.

Same, my DMM is a permanent fixture on the RR2! Set for a hazy reverb/subtle echo, this setup can cover so much ground, and is very easy on the ears, even when you push the amp a bit.nanamour wrote: ↑Thu Oct 18, 2018 8:41 am*words of approval/affirmation*garyfanclub wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 8:36 pm- Guitar: mid-60s Jaguar (honorable mention, 70s Telecaster Custom)

Definitely a desert island rig for me. Love it for the 60s inspired surfy/garage scuzz I play. Also does the pseudo Godspeedesque spaghetti western vibes on my mellower days.
(My Jag isn’t a mid 60s one (Avri with a 65 neck) but it’s close enough. Some day!)

Thanks, Maggie.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.
