Sorry for the necro thread bump here, but how are the necks in these things? I suddenly find myself sorely tempted. If it had a big ol' neck and matching headstock I probably wouldn't be able to resist.
I love big fat necks. I can't actually remember if I've played one of these or not, but I remember the necks on the road worn strats and jazzmaster that I have played being pretty thin, which would be a deal breaker. I also generally hate candy apple red, but for whatever reason it looks just right on a jag. Especially when it's all beat up. Ideally with a matching headstock.
Anyway, I would love to hear how the necks on these compare.
Thanks,
Gary

The necks on these are rather slim. So it doesn't sound like you'd like it. Go for a Marr or AV65 Jag if you like fat necks.Gswearengin wrote:Sorry for the necro thread bump here, but how are the necks in these things? I suddenly find myself sorely tempted. Thanks for that. So it's probably just a passing fancy. We'll see if I ever come across one in the flesh that I can check out.sunburster wrote: The necks on these are rather slim. So it doesn't sound like you'd like it. Go for a Marr or AV65 Jag if you like fat necks.
I actually have a sherwood green Marr jag (my second one). I love it, but it's just becoming clear to me that a jag is never going to be my main guitar, so maybe I'm a little over-invested. I'm also a bit of a traditionalist, so I kinda prefer the stock switching setup and might prefer not to have a signature on the headstock, even if it is one of my heroes. And I'd like to have something I can beat on instead of babying.
