Or you could always work with Doug to make your dream guitar! I cannot say enough good things about this guitar.
I have some nice, vintage offsets, and I play this more often.

That is a beautiful Guitar but I love my Gibson Firebird V. It's a great Player. It's a keeper. But the Gold sure looks cool!!!!!!

I just bought a new AV65 Jazzmaster. Should be here any time!!!!!

Man, I want a Firebird V so badly. The huge price drop on the 2016 model is making it very hard to resist. It would upset my carefully-curated 50/50 balance of single coil and humbucker guitars, though, so I'd probably have to build that Telemaster I've been thinking about, too ;D

I always loved the look, but the nay-sayers with the "it's heavy as a boat anchor" and "it's neck heavy and will neck dive" always kept me from biting. Finally got one this year and man am I in love! Haven't found any of the myths to be true. No neck dive. Perfectly balanced. No worse for weight than a Jazzy. Comfortable to play standing or sitting. My only regret is not getting one sooner!

Weird, my Firebird is like my lightest guitar.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Don't have a firebird but I do have a couple ESP Phoenix's.

As others have mentioned, they feel "long". The way the body sits plus the 25.5 almost makes it feel like a baritone. Nothing like a JM or LP. Not better or worse, just different.

Man, are those TV Jones? Filtertrons in a Firebird - you're making me weak in the knees (I think every guitar gets better with filtertrons, because they do!). But i already have two Jones-ified guitars (A Gretsch Bo Diddley and a Blacktop Jaguar). I was wondering about Fralin Big Singles in a Firebird - I think that would be totally badass. But that's because anything in a Firebird is badass.

Holy $#!&, that green and gold one with the bigsby and binding is phenomenal (well, they all are). I have a huge soft spot for hybrid Gretsch designs (cabronitas, borachas, etc). Well done.

Doug... those banshees! :?

What do the switches do?

I found a messed around FB I that had a pickup routed in the neck position and binding put on the neck, then had the neck pickup cavity filled and refin'd in black last time I was in Toronto. It had the unusual non-reverse headstock and reverse body combo, and the pickup was a Lollar replacement. I should have taken it home, re-routed a neck pickup in it and rocked it hard. I'm an idiot...

I think you need to keep that in the for sale section, please, and not in the general threads.

It depends on the guitar but the 2 pickup ones usually are (l-r), coil split, out of phase, cocked wah. The 3 pickup are middle pickup on/off, coil split, cocked wah
