New Fender Jag/JM Bridge
Just saw this in my FB feed from the Fender CS page:
"New RSD Jazzmaster / Jaguar bridge. More tone, no buzz, completely intonate-able, even if you reverse it. Holla."
RSD? Anyone heard of this? In any case, looks cool, I wonder how this will bode for mastery...

RSD is Research Special Division, so basically R & D.
Looks intriguing to say the least.

That looks very interesting. It's not exactly look pretty but I'd take this over the adjust/tune-o-matics anyday if they work like they say they do.

Just saw this and I am excited...Hopefully it is a bit lower priced than the alternatives, and the best part... Fender is obviously brewing ideas about Jazzmasters. Maybe we will finally get a REAL American Jazzmaster at a good price.

Looks cool, but since when is Fender in the aftermarket boutique bridge business?

Love the F-hole silhouette it has going on, and the big honking brass saddles.

It looks nice, but from the pictures I can't see how the saddles move forwards or backwards to intonate.

I'm guessing it's something like this...
Though from the look of the sides of the saddles perhaps not. Just a guess.

Like the look. Will be interesting to hear the first reports on how this sounds.

That's what I thought, but couldn't figure out the "S"david phantomatic wrote:RSD is Research Special Division, so basically R & D.
I like the organic look to it, the curves do look nice. Looking forward to see them in action.

Intriguing. I hope it's something readily available (and less than a Mastery).

I guess I'll wait with buying a Staytrem bridge.

I didn't notice that. That is pretty neat.WonderCouncil wrote:Love the F-hole silhouette it has going on.
I wonder if they're going to offer this as an aftermarket option.

Re: New Fender Jag/JM Bridge
It's in use already on a Masterbuilt Hollowbody Tele that debuted at NAMM:
