White Fence has to be one of my favourite bands and Tim Presley has an interesting looking offset (modded jazzmaster with a humbucker in the bridge position and jaguar single coil in the neck?)

...and also on the Sophia gig last weekend, the guitar player had 2 Jazzers (one sunburst was definitely reissue and an oh so beautiful modded baby blue one of unknown vintage) and a Jag.

ps: yes the blue one has a pickup under the bridge!

I got it from his twitter page. I knew he was a big Smiths/Morrissey fan from the Reno911 show and I just happened to look him up to see what he was doing now. I think he was playing with the Sweet and Tender Hooligans featuring the "Mexican Morrissey" Jose Maldonado.Mechanical Birds wrote:Whats that from? I didn't know Thomas Lennon played thats so kool

Seen her live three times this year but I don't think anyone played a Bass VI at any point. Polly rocked a white Jaguar when she debuted the new songs at the London Literature Festival last October though!Pacafeliz wrote:btw, the other day at the PJ Harvey concert it was all Jazzmasters, Jags and iirc even a Bass VI onstage. good times.

Martin Rotsey - Midnight Oil - seems he's retired the White strat and is using a Jazzy as his main these days. He also plays a Fiesta red Jaguar on "When the General's Talk" in the "Oils on the Water" concert from 1985
Pal Waaktaar Savoy - A-ha - A-ha was one of my first musical influences, I think he's had that thing since "Memorial Beach" in 93' because I hear a lot of Jazzmaster on that album (Cold as Stone really sounds like it)
Elliot Easton - The Cars - most people talk about Ric as he's the one seen using a Jazzmaster the most, but it looks like Elliot brought out the Fiesta Red one from that vintage guitar magazine photoshoot on tour in 1980 and did dualing Jazzmasters with Ric Ocasek. I speculate this was either on "My Best Friend's Girl", but could have been "Down Boys" from Panorama though, I have a bootleg from Milwaukee and things get quite Jazzmastery on that song ala. Shotgun with Jimi Hendrix on guitar.
And Benjamin Orr had one too - in the Grasshoppers in the 60's
