Well with the new offsets they've been putting out we know they have access to other types of bridges and hardware then the typical stuff they use. So hopefully they know better then to go the generic route.

How many of us signers would actually buy it? I probably wouldn't. I never bought the VM offsets, as I was so sure I'd have 2 of each...

I think I'll buy this faster than a VM offset since it's different and there aren't to many of them (I was planning to buy 2 VM's too.)andrewdoeshair wrote:How many of us signers would actually buy it? I probably wouldn't. I never bought the VM offsets, as I was so sure I'd have 2 of each...

Re: I've created an online Squier Bass VI petition.
The real difference with this and the other VM stuff is that Fender actually has a full range of different jags jm and mustangs that compete with those in a variety of price points . The only Bass VI you can get from them is a custom shop one. No other affordable options exist outside of Japan unless you want another brand. I think they'd actually sell pretty well for what they are.andrewdoeshair wrote:How many of us signers would actually buy it? I probably wouldn't. Re: I've created an online Squier Bass VI petition.
I'd actually buy one, as long as they came in decent finishes. If the options are black or sunburst? I'd pass. But a nicer finish and a price at $399 or less? Yeah. I'd go for it.andrewdoeshair wrote:How many of us signers would actually buy it? I probably wouldn't. I never bought the VM offsets, as I was so sure I'd have 2 of each...

Agreed, the Squier 51 and Super-Sonic were very nice mashups.WonderCouncil wrote:Maybe I'm in the minority though, but I think it would be kind of cool if they came up with a whole new body design, albeit an offset one.
I made one of those but I don't think it's all that - when I get some hobby time this will be reshaped to a Mustang type body:WonderCouncil wrote:Heck even a Jazz Bass bodied VI would be pretty stellar.

Mods should sticky this thread in every sub forum, and we we should post the link to the petition in other forums we frequent.Rude_Mechanical wrote:8000+ OSG members and only 80 signatures

Re: I've created an online Squier Bass VI petition.
I would. The thing that kept me from buying one of the recent Fender Japan VI's was the price.andrewdoeshair wrote:How many of us signers would actually buy it? I probably wouldn't. I never bought the VM offsets, as I was so sure I'd have 2 of each...
I simply couldn't justify spending that sort of money on a guitar which would probably be a typical #2 or 3, and where I don't know if I'd ever use that heavily. I can afford spending VM-ish prices for that, though.
Of course it's alive - you cannot make music with dead Muppaphones.
