I know the basses are pretty good, never played a guitar one though. The vista series in general are supposed to be fantastic. Same with the classic vibes and vintage modified series. Expect to pay slightly more than non-vista series Squiers though.

Obviously as with pretty much all guitars, there are also bound to be duff ones.

i've not played one, but i have a supersonic and a venus. the musicmaster was the only vista series model made in china and not japan. i've heard they are fun little guitars to play.

I have one.

It's my beater guitar. It feels cheap compared to the rest of the Vista series. It's pretty noisy and perfect if you want to play punk or whatever. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for jazz. And for the price you can't beat it honestly. It's the black sheep of the Vista, for obvious reasons, but it's still a fun guitar.

I've thought about buying one of these for some time but always put it off for one reason or another. I think if it had been done to the same specs as the Japanese ones it would've been a very popular guitar.

If and when I ever do pick one up I wouldn't mind doing a similar set up as this.

I know this is a dead thread but I wanted to revive to ask if anyone knows where I can source a bridge from one of these squier musicamasters. I am super desperate as I just acquired a 1965 duo sonic body that someone converted to string through. The squire vista musicmaster bridge would be ideal. I don't like the tornado and the string holes are located slightly different. Any help would be appreciated. I saw Angela instruments had them years ago but I can't find anyone that has one currently. Thank you

Is this the white one?
The original bridges turn up on ebay occasionally, I would grab one of those and forget about those wonky string-thrus.
(Christopher, also)
I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.

Maybe you're not finding it because you're looking for a "Squire" Vista.. :freako:
