Re: Show your Squier Mascis JM Mods/Improvements!
the reason for this is i used to gig with the j mascis and it has a lot of sentimental value as it was a gift from my late grandmother so wanrted to keep the body and neck

Wow! They look really cool!
Personally I'd even go so far to paint the headstock black - at least on the Thurston model to match the pickguard.

I sold my SJMJM to help fund my MIJ JMJM.... but I will be incredibly surprised if I don't replace it with another at some point in the future... hehe.

This is going to be a great guitar. It has V-Mod Jazzmaster pickups, white pickups covers, a super slim Squire Strat neck with a 12 radius fretboard and vintage style Kluson tuners. The Toronado is going sound good too, the wiring is all messed up, but I got American Atomic Humbuckers from a Mustang, Gotoh vintage style tuner, chrome covers and a tortoise pickguard. https://www.instagram.com/p/BmZZcRkFRmd/

That Toronado looks sweet!
Was the pickguard routed for HBs before? That plastic "frame" is the only thing that would personally bug me!
Also what a nice dark red pickguard on the JM!?

Toronados came with humbuckers. If you read my post you'd see I'm putting Atomic Humbuckers in it, which are what come stock in these guitars, and replacing the pickguard.

Aaaah. I must have overread that s (plural).

Re: Show your Squier Mascis JM Mods/Improvements!
I finally finished all the upgrades on my JMJM .
Staytrem bridge , AVRI trem, Gotoh SD91 MGT tuners , New wiring , CTS pots , switchcraft jack, new switchs , paper oil capacitor , Hybrid Jazzmaster pickups by Q_pickups ( Jazzmaster bobbins , steel slugs like a humbucker, 2 bars of alnico 5 like a P90 . It sounds awesome , Full and clear at the same time and still jazzmastery), Blue anodized Pickguard , copper shielding , trem grounded .
I love that guitar , it was great stock but it is really awesome now .
